From last Sunday there was a slight change to the practice method. I am not sure how often we will do this, but regardless, it is HIGHLY ADVISABLE that all kendoka at JKA that in bogu eat a proper breakfast and drink plenty of water before starting practice at JJS. Please be reminded that the heat and heavy exercise can dehydrate you more that you realize. Also, it is strongly advisable that members try to do some sort of physical activity such as jogging, if possible, to improve stamina - especially in this kind of weather.
For those of you that did not show up, we have started stamina and conditioning training that may sometimes replace or be part of kihon keiko on some practice days (not all, I think). Based on Sunday's results, many of you are either out of shape or dehydrating, or just have no energy. Please make sure you are physically and mentally prepared to participate.
